The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Thursday night, announced 146 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-62, FCT-23, Kaduna-21, Ogun-12, Rivers -12, Ondo-5, Oyo-3, Plateau-3, Bauchi-2, Katsina-2 and Kano-1.
The agency said two new deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,163 Wednesday to 1,165 on Thursday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 116 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 61,573 while 3,101 cases were still active in the country.
The agency further explained that discharges on Thursday included 85 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
Total confirmed cases in Nigeria – 65,839.
Total discharged cases – 61,573.
