Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases rose by 790 on Wednesday, according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Lagos State posted the highest infections of the day with 574 cases, followed by Rivers-83.
Others were Ondo-38, Ogun-31, Oyo-23, Delta-10, FCT-9, Ekiti-7, Edo-6, Osun-4, Anambra-2, Bayelsa-2 and Plateau-1.
“Today’s report includes: Three states with zero cases reported: Kano, Nasarawa and Sokoto.”
On the day under review, 72 COVID-19 patients recovered and had been discharged from various isolation centres in the country while one person died from complications.
Meanwhile, as of August 12th, 2021, Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases stand at 179,908 with 166,203 recoveries and 2,195 deaths.
