Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Tuesday announced 156 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.
The number has taken the country total infections to 164,912.
The fresh cases were reported in 11 States.
State-by-State breakdown of cases is as follows: Lagos-50, Enugu-43, Adamawa-40, FCT-8, Ogun-5, Akwa Ibom-3, Plateau-3, Jigawa-1, Kaduna-1, Oyo-1 and Rivers-1.
The NCDC said that 43 patients recovered and were discharged from isolation centres while a person died of complication.

Meanwhile, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) said a total of 1,181,941 had been vaccinated in the country.
