COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 676 new cases, 21 deaths

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday night, announced 676 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the fresh cases with-227, Rivers-73, Niger-69, Plateau-56, FCT-50, Kano-44, Oyo-43, Ogun-27, Gombe-18, Ondo-15, Enugu-10, Osun-10, Cross River-8, Edo-8, Nasarawa-7, Bauchi-4, Kaduna-3, Ekiti-2 and Zamfara-2.
The data from the agency disclosed that 21 deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1,586 on Sunday to 1,607 on Monday.
The agency said 1,286 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 106,275 while 24,036 cases were still active in the country.
The agency explained that the discharges on Monday included 776 community recoveries in Lagos State and 96 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
