Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Tuesday night, reported 179 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The figure has taken the countrywide infections to 161,074.
According to the NCDC’s data, a total of 320 patients recovered and were discharged from various isolation centres in the country, while two persons died from COVID-19 complications.
Giving a breakdown of the fresh infections, the NCDC said Lagos State recorded the highest with daily figure-
Lagos-47, Kaduna-21, Rivers-18, Akwa Ibom-14, FCT-11, Edo-10, Cross River-9, Ogun-9, Nasarawa-6, Ebonyi-5, Ekiti-5, Zamfara-5, Delta-4, Kano-4, Osun-4, Plateau-3, Abia-2, Gombe-1 and Sokoto-1.
The Agency said the discharges Tuesday included 153 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
