The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Thursday, announced 864 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that FCT had the highest record of the fresh cases with-129, Anambra-87, Rivers-82, Benue-80, Oyo-76, Plateau-61, Kaduna-54, Delta-51, Nasarawa-38, Kwara-36, Edo-32, Katsina-26, Kano-24, Taraba-18, Ogun-14, Sokoto-11, Gombe-10, Jigawa-7, Akwa Ibom-6, Cross, River-6, Zamfara-5, Bauchi-5, Osun-4 and Ekiti-2.
The data from the agency disclosed that three deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1,544 on Wednesday to 1,547 on Thursday.
The agency said 488 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 100,853 while 24,624 cases were still active in the country.
The agency noted that Thursday’s report did not include data from Lagos State and the discharges included 164 community recoveries in Kaduna State and 102 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
