COVID-19 Updates: NCDC confirms 474 new cases, two new deaths

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Wednesday night, announced 474 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

The health agency disclosed that FCT had the highest record of the new cases with-180, Lagos-134, Kebbi-45, Adamawa-26, Plateau-16, Enugu-14, Taraba-14, Gombe-12, Nasarawa-8, Yobe-8, Rivers-5, Ogun-5, Kwara-2, Ekiti-2, Sokoto-2 and Osun-1.

The agency said two new deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,182 on Tuesday to 1,184 on Wednesday.

The data from the agency disclosed that 132 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 65,242 while 4,243 cases were still active in the country.

NCDC explained that the confirmed cases on Wednesday included data reported from Kebbi and Adamawa over two weeks.

Total confirmed cases in Nigeria – 70,669.
Total discharged cases – 65,242.
Total deaths – 1,184.
