The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday night, announced 1,301 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the fresh cases with-551, FCT-209, Oyo-83, Plateau-65, Kaduna-64, Enugu-61, Rivers-44, Ondo-39, Benue-37, Akwa Ibom-31, Kano-19, Delta-18, Gombe-18, Ogun-16, Edo-15, Kebbi-10, Ebonyi-9, Jigawa-4, Osun-3, Zamfara-3, Borno-1 and Nasarawa-1.
The agency said 15 deaths, occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1,449 on Sunday to 1,464 on Tuesday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 1,261 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 91,200 while 20,641 cases were still active in the country.
NCDC further explained that the discharges on Tuesday included 702 community recoveries in Lagos State, 157 in FCT and 143 in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
