Nigeria’s confirmed COVID-19 cases have risen to 5,445.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in a tweet on Friday night confirmed the new cases.
According to NCDC, Lagos recorded the highest number of 179 cases, raising fears across the state.
Kaduna recorded 20 cases while Katsina and Jigawa States recorded 15 cases each.
The data released by the agency also shows that numbers of total death increased from 167 on Thursday night to 171 on Friday night .
The numbers of discharged cases also increased from 1180 on Thursday night to 1320 on Friday night

NCDC said 4 cases reported from Plateau and 1 case from Akwa Ibom, on the 14th of May,were repeat cases.
It said Plateau has a total of 21 cases and Akwa Ibom has a total of 16 cases
