The House Committee on Constitution Review, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, has officially extended the deadline for the submission of memoranda concerning the review of the 1999 Constitution (As Amended). The new deadline is April 30, 2024.
This extension, as communicated by the Spokesman of the House Committee on Constitution Review, Representative Chief Dr. Philip Agbese, follows a resolution reached during the committee’s recent session. It aims to afford stakeholders, organizations, and interested individuals ample time to contribute their insights and perspectives on sections of the Constitution they deem in need of amendment.
The Committee underscores its commitment to ensuring comprehensive public participation in this significant national undertaking.
