The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned Orbby Vanessa Agwuncha, a company manager, before the Federal High Court in Abuja for failure to appoint a compliance desk officer and develop programs to combat money laundering and other financial crimes.

Agwuncha, who trades under the name Bill Interserve Global, faces two counts of failing to comply with the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.
The charges include: failing to designate a compliance officer at the management level; and, failing to establish an internal audit unit to ensure compliance with the Act.
Agwuncha pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecution counsel requested a trial date, while the defence counsel applied for bail.
After hearing both sides, Justice Egwuata granted bail in the sum of ₦50 million with two sureties in like sum.
The sureties must meet the following conditions: Not be below Grade 16, possess verifiable landed property in Abuja with a Certificate of Occupancy, be persons of reputable character, deposit their traveling documents with the court, mot travel outside the country without the court’s permission.
The case has been adjourned to February 16, 2026, for commencement of trial.
Agwuncha will remain in custody, pending the completion of her bail conditions.
