Chrisland University, Abeokuta has secured accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for its Mass Communication, International Relations and Diplomacy, and Law programmes.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Oyedunni Arulogun, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Abeokuta.
Arulogun said the accreditation followed a comprehensive assessment by the NUC, which evaluated the institution’s academic standards, staffing, infrastructure and curriculum.
She explained that the accreditation status confirmed that the programmes had met the commission’s minimum academic standards benchmark.
According to her, the recognition reflect years of strategic investment in human capital development, learning facilities and curriculum advancement.
The vice chancellor appreciated the university’s Board of Trustees for its commitment to the growth and advancement of the institution.
She also commended the management and staff members for their dedication and commitment to the success of the accreditation exercise.
Arulogun described the outcome as a testament to the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.
“The accreditation exercise is a peer review mechanism aimed at ensuring quality assurance in all spheres of academic delivery,” she said.

Founded in 2015, Arulogun said the institution had continued to expand its academic programmes while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
“The latest accreditation is expected to boost the confidence of parents, students, enhance graduate employability, and further position the university as a centre of academic excellence,” she said.
