The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa has undertaken a solemn visit to the Kaduna State Government to express condolences following the recent abduction of over 200 students from the Kuriga Community within the state.

Speaking at the Sir Kashim House, General Musa acknowledged the challenging circumstances facing the state, emphasizing that certain elements intent on destabilization were seeking to sow discord.

He underscored the criticality of peace, highlighting its indispensable role in fostering a conducive environment for commerce and prosperity in Kaduna.

General Musa reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) to safeguarding the nation, its constituent states, and all citizens.

He descrobed the abducted children as future leaders whose safe recovery remained paramount.

General Musa assured the Governor of the AFN’s steadfast determination to ensure the security of the nation.

Addressing Kuriga community leaders, General Musa expressed deep regrets over the unfortunate incident and reaffirmed the AFN’s exhaustive efforts to secure the safe return of the children and bring the perpetrators to justice.

He noted President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s directives to prioritize the safe return and well-being of the abducted children.

General Musa urged community collaboration in aiding military efforts, recognizing their intimate knowledge of the local terrain.

Community leaders, in turn, lauded General Musa for his exemplary leadership and appealed for heightened proactive measures to combat the scourge of kidnappings and other criminal activities nationwide.

Governor Uba Sani, in appreciation of the CDS’s visit, acknowledged the fruitful partnership between the state and the AFN alongside other security agencies.
