Buhari confers Clerk to Senate, Akubueze, with National Productivity Order of Merit Award

Clerk to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Barrister Chinedu Akubueze, has been conferred with the National Productivity Order of Merit Award by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Akubueze who was Clerk to the House of Representatives before his appointment as Clerk to the Senate, has been focused and working hard to deliver on his mandates in the National Assembly.

He is poised to reposition the Senate in particular and the National Assembly at large in line with established principles of legislative best practices.

The award on him, according to reactions by some quarters in the National Assembly, was a testimony to his contribution and commitment to ensuring that the legislative branch of government is proactive and pragmatic to addressing contemporary and emerging issues in the legislature.

THE CONCLAVE reports that Akubueze is the second recipient of this particular award in the National Assembly, after former Director of Pharmacy, Dr John Alfa.
