Determined to halt the continued slide into a state of anarchy in the ruling party over leadership tussle, President Muhammadu Buhari and Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are in a crucial meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting is coming less than 24 hours after the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, told the media on Sunday in Abuja after visiting Aso Rock Villa that President Buhari would intervene in the crisis rocking the party.
The APC chieftains sighted at the meeting are the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu; Chairman of Northern Governors’ Forum and Governor of Plateau state, Simon Lalong and Governor of Jigawa state, Abubakar Badaru.
The closed-door meeting is expected to discuss efforts towards the settlement of the crisis within the APC in the next few days.
