Broadcasting: NBC approves licences for new radio, television stations

Following the approval of licensing for more broadcast stations across the country, National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, has licensed 65 companies and learning institutions to operate both Radio and Television Broadcasting.
In a press release by the commission, 43 stations have been granted licences for broadcast.
They include eight campus FMs, one Community FM Radio and 13 free Digital Terrestrial Television stations.
The radio stations include; Nigerian Police Force FM Abuja, Rhola Vision Limited, Mubi, NSCDC Radio Suleja, Multiple Synergy Ltd Kaduna, Brick Mortal, Suleja/Ibadan, Muryne Media Consultant Lagos, Sai Link Ltd, Abuja, Dandal Kura, Abuja, Sunshine, Abuja Niger Customs FM/TV in Abuja and Lagos, Blue Print News.
Also, EMPAU communications, Kaduna, Safe line Media Ltd, Gusau, Muhasa Nigerian Ltd, Dutse/ Hadejia, Rhimlax Investment Ltd, Daura, Multiple Synergy, Kaduna, Now Radio, Dutse, South Atlantic Media, Kano and Kaduna, Media Support System, Kano, On Air Media Ltd, Daura, Films and Laboratory Production Service-Filaps in Gombe, Lagos and Port Harcourt, Alansar Radio/TV in Maiduguri, Solar Broadcasting Network in Aba and Igbere, Omalicha Media Network, Owerri, Ndaiah Global International Ltd, Calabar, Port Harcourt and Yenagoa, Eku Broadcasting Nigeria Ltd, Warri and Macdous Media Ltd in Anambra, also made the list of licenced Radio and Television stations approved by the NBC.
Others include; Nigerian Broadcasting Network FM/TV, Crawley International Concept Ltd Radio, Ado Ekiti, Donpedro Media Company Radio, Benin, Worldab Communications Ltd Radio, Ikere Ekiti, Fenchurch Media Network Radio, Lagos, Ominimedia Network Radio, Lagos, Bass Media Ltd, Abeokuta, Control Media, Lagos, Habib Thobeeb Communication Radio, Lagos, Oracle Executive Services and Consultant Ltd Radio, Media Trust Ltd Radio and Leadership Radio Ltd.
The approved radio stations on campuses include; Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, Akwa Ibom University Radio, Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Temple Gate Polytechnic Radio, Aba, Audu Gusau Poly in Talata Mafara, Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Zaria and Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, in Ogun state.
