The Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei, on Monday afternoon, fainted during the sitting of the House of Representatives Committee probing the monumental fraud allegation on the Commission.
Prof. Pondei suddenly slumped while answering questions from members of the committee in the presence of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Mr Godswill Akpabio, who was also ordered to appear and make presentations before the committee
As of the time of this report, the Committee hurriedly suspended the sitting for 30 minutes while Professor Pondei was rushed out for medical attention.
Prof. Pondei and his team had walked out on the Committee during the investigating hearing on Thursday, last week, leading to issuance of a warrant of arrest on them by the Committee.
