The Emir of Kajuru, His royal Highness, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu, who was kidnapped by bandits on Sunday morning has been released.
He was reportedly set free today about 4 pm, according to acteport by CKN.
The terms of his release could not be confirmed as of the time of this report.
Alhaji Alhassan Adamu and 13 others were kidnapped by the bandits on Sunday morning.
The development was disclosed by one of the kingmakers the Galadiman Kajuru Alhaji Dahiru Abubakar through phone calls.
The emir’s health was said to be good.
It was however said that he would not be able to speak to any journalist because of the trauma caused by the incident.
The remaining captives had yet to be released as of the time of this publication.
They were expected to be released as soon as negotiations were concluded.
