UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has offered to host every European Championship game in Britain as UK hit the milestone of vaccinating twenty million people over the weekend.
Johnson offered out Britain’s stadiums to be used not only for the tournament’s semi-finals and final which was scheduled to take place at Wembley stadium but the entire games in the competition.
As part of the Prime Minister’s roadmap to normal life, supporters are expected to return to stadiums from May 17.
Euro 2020 which has been delayed for twelve months until the summer of 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic was set to be staged across twelve host cities in twelve different countries.
However, it is believed the UEFA president, Aleksander Ceferin favours scrapping that plan for a single host due to the current restriction amid the pandemic.
