The four beneficiaries of Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation’s scholarship scheme who departed Nigeria on Sunday have arrived in Venezuela in South America where they will study medicine and surgery, according to a report by ABN TV.
Sponsor of the free tuition education and founder, Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, announced their arrival on Wednesday on his verified Facebook page.
He said: “The beneficiaries of Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation scholarship on medicine and surgery have landed safely and officially resumed school. They shared the pictures with me with letters of emotive appreciation and I am glad they are very very happy and grateful. Our love for education is the inspiration. Congratulations young champs!”
The beneficiaries were reportedly selected on merit following their outstanding performances in WAEC.
They include: Favour Chimeremeze Chukwu, Ikenna Marvellous Kanu-Ubah, Chika Onwuka Mark and Prince Kingseed Chiziterem.
The foundation is to fully take charge of the cost of their education, accommodation and feeding within the period of their university education.
