The leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, led by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has dared the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and scorned the electoral due process by inserting the names of Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio in the lists of the party’s candidates submitted to the INEC.

The move by Senator Adamu in respect of Akpabio was in spite of the Commission’s pronouncement that he did not participate in the valid primary that the Commission supervised.

Similar event caught up with the Senate President to rile him out of reckoning for the return ticket of the party to the Senate.

The winner of the Yobe North Senatorial primary poll, Bashir Sherrif Machina, refused to step down for Lawan, insisting that he would defend his mandate by running in the general election as the party’s candidate.

The National chairman, Adamu, who had worked in cahoots with Lawan to hijack the consensus presidency of the APC, but failed in the bid, has reportedly inserted Lawan’s name in the list, setting the stage for a legal action on the matter.

Meanwhile, published hereunder are lists of Senatorial candidates of the APC sent to INEC by Adamu.

The lists comprise among others, a former national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Governor Dave Umahi, and Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu.
