Now sure-footed, the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the recommendations of the Committee on Zoning.
It has now formalised the zoning of National Chairman to the North-Central, thus shutting out the like of Senators Ali Modu Sheriff and former Governor Abdulaziz Yari from other zones.
The zoning arrangements ceded the position of the two deputy baptismal chairmen to the South-East and North-East.
The South-West will produce the National Secretary of the party.
The CECPC approved the zoning formula at its regular meeting on Tuesday March 8.
The zoning formula are for the March 26 National Convention of the ruling party.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Director of Publicity of the APC, Salisu Na’inna Ɗambatta, the zonal representatives on the CECPC are expected to coordinate the process in the zones.
