Airtel Nigeria secures three telecom licences

The fibre service unit of Airtel Nigeria, Airtel Nigeria Telesonic Limited, has been awarded three telecom licences.

According to the latest market updates released on Friday by the Nigerian Communications Commission, the network operator was granted a National Long Distance licence, an Internet Service Provider licence, and a Sales & Installation Major licence.

The National Long Distance licence, which is valid for 20 years, will cover the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2044.

Meanwhile, both the Internet Service Provider and Sales & Installation Major licences have a validity of five years, running from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2029, Technology Times reports.
