“The protest is currently happening at Agan Ward, close to the toll gate,” she said during a phone interview. “It’s about the insecurity in the area. We are tired and want the government to take urgent action.”

Security personnel have since arrived at the scene to monitor the situation, which remains calm for now.

The protest followed a series of attacks and persistent violence affecting residents of the community and other parts of the state.
