In a determined effort to eradicate terrorism and ensure the safety of citizens, the combined troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD), operating under the Joint Task Force North-West, have once again executed a successful and meticulously coordinated operation, resulting in the rescue of 52 kidnap victims in Isa Local Government Area (LGA) of Sokoto State.
This commendable achievement transpired on the 22nd of December 2023, as the troops undertook a comprehensive clearance operation, targeting and eliminating terrorist enclaves in Saruwa, Kubuta, Gundumi villages, and the Bunwanga Gundumi forest within Isa LGA of Sokoto state.
During the course of the operation, the OPHD troops demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, resulting in the liberation of 52 kidnap victims.
The rescued individuals comprise 14 males, 32 females, and 6 children.

Following their liberation, the victims will undergo thorough medical examinations, debriefing, and subsequent handover to the appropriate authorities to facilitate their reunion with their families.
Additionally, the operation proved highly effective in neutralizing a significant number of terrorists, thereby further weakening their capacity to inflict harm on the populace.
The success of this mission underscores the commitment of the Joint Task Force North-West to maintaining peace and security in the region.
The rescued victims will receive the necessary support and care to facilitate their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
