Victor Osimhen also came close for Nigeria a couple of times.

The Fenerbahce striker rescued a point for the visitors nine minutes from time nodding home substitute Moses Simon’s superb cross.

The Super Eagles, who have already qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations are now assured of first position in Group D, having amassed 11 points from five matches.
