Aduda urges civil servants to uphold diligence and values

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Ambassador Gabriel Aduda, has urged civil servants to be diligent, value-oriented, citizen-centered, and God-fearing in their official duties.

Aduda made this call during a courtesy visit by the Union executives and staff members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by their chairman, Ali Seidu.

The visit aimed to appreciate Aduda’s impactful role during his tenure as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from December 2020 to October 2022.

Emphasizing the civil service’s pivotal role as the engine of government, Aduda highlighted its responsibility in ensuring effective service delivery to Nigerians and in actualizing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

“Always put in your best at every opportunity you are given to serve. You may never have a second chance to make a first impression, so always put your best foot forward. Work as unto God and never relent in supporting your subordinates and superiors,” Aduda stated.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to capacity development for workers, aiming to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service delivery in the public sector in line with global standards.

Earlier, Comrade Ali Seidu expressed gratitude to Ambassador Aduda for his contributions to staff members’ career progression and capacity building during his tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Seidu specifically acknowledged Aduda’s efforts in facilitating the conversion of staff from the Executive Cadre to Officer Cadre, assuring that the knowledge and opportunities gained would be utilized to achieve the goals of the foreign service and the federal government.

In appreciation, Seidu and his colleagues presented Aduda with a customized, handcrafted thank-you card.

Ambassador Gabriel Tanimu Aduda, OPEC Governor for Nigeria, is a distinguished administrator with extensive experience across multiple sectors, including Petroleum Resources, Foreign Affairs, Political and Economic Affairs, and Youth and Sports.

His illustrious career includes notable positions such as chairman of the National Authority on Chemical & Biological Weapons Convention and Director of Civil Service Transformation at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
