The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke, has announced a medical outreach that will offer free medical services to 18,000 indigenes of the state.
The Chairman of the implementation committee, who also doubles as the Chief Medical Director, University Osun Teaching Hospital, Prof Peter Babatunde Olaitan, made this known during a press conference held at the boardroom of the hospital.
Some of the diseases to be treated according to Prof Olaitan, include cataract, pterygium, diabetes, hypertension lipoma, keloid, ganglion and bernia, among others.
The medical outreach will be carried out in all the nine federal constituencies of the state, where 2,000 patients are targeted per zone.
He enjoined the good people of the state to take advantage of the gesture by the state government and enjoy the free better health programme.
The medical outreach will be flagged off in Iwo on Wednesday by the Governor.
