African Democratic Congress [ADC] presidential aspirant Mohammed Hayatu-Deen said he would not attend the announcement of the party’s presidential primary elections results on Tuesday, citing alleged widespread irregularities.
In a post on his official X account, Hayatu-Deen stated: “I will not be attending the announcement of the ADC Presidential Election Results today. I am concerned by reports from across the country of widespread vote rigging, some of which I myself observed, and will therefore be taking advice on my next steps.”
Hayatu-Deen said he personally witnessed some of the infractions.
The African Democratic Congress is scheduled to announce the results of its presidential primaries on May 26, 2026.
