*_Nigeria: A surgical operation by an unprepared surgical team*_

Think of it this way: a surgeon diagnoses a patient and rushes into surgery without the right tools, team, or plan. The surgeon has been improvising with no anaesthesia or monitors for vital signs, turning a precise procedure into a dangerous gamble.

This is a perfect analogy for the current economic management. Policies are enacted without the necessary infrastructure, expertise, or contingency planning. The result is a traumatic experience for the nation, with citizens feeling every cut.

A patient can survive a botched operation but will be left traumatized, scared permanently and left disabled for life. So too will Nigeria’s economy. The question is, has the government learnt from this malpractice and is now adopting a more careful, informed approach? Or we continue to be under its unprepared, crude surgical experiment?

The nation is on the table. Isn’t time for a second surgical opinion from a confirmed experienced surgeon?
