2nd Wave: NCDC confirms 999 new COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday, announced 999 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that FCT had the highest record of the fresh cases with-416, Lagos-324, Kaduna-68, Plateau-42, Kwara-32, Kano-24, Gombe-14, Sokoto-12, Yobe-12, Akwa Ibom-11, Bayelsa-10, Rivers-7, Bauchi-7, Ogun-6, Oyo-5, Edo-4, Taraba-4 and Jigawa-1.
The agency said four deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1, 227 on Monday to 1,231 on Tuesday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 396 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 68,879 while 9,670 cases were still active in the country.
NCDC explained that the discharges on Tuesday included 254 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
