The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday, announced 356 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that FCT had the highest record of the fresh cases with-79, Lagos-59, Kaduna-56, Katsina-37, Nasarawa-30, Kano-25, Edo-18, Gombe-14, Kebbi-12, Akwa Ibom-7, Rivers-7, Sokoto-7, Abia-3, Ogun-1 and Cross River -1.
The agency said six deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1, 221 on Sunday to 1,227 on Monday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 180 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 68,483 while 9,080 cases were still active in the country.
NCDC explained that discharges on Monday included 59 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
