Nigerians have been told to bury their fears over the Muslim/Muslim presidential ticket of All Progressives Congress(APC).

Chairman of Tinubu Mandate Group, TMG, Pastor Femi Bakare said the presidential candidate of the party was not tribalistic.

Pastor Bakare stated this on Thursday when he led the executives of his group to the APC state secretariat in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor allayed the fears of some people on the choice of Muslim/Muslim presidential candidate and his running mate.

He noted that Tinubu had exhibited his non racist trait when he was the governor of Lagos State when he appointed people who were not Yoruba in his cabinet.

Bakare, who said Tinubu is his friend of many years, emphasised that Nigerians should begin to place less emphasis on religion when talking about politics.

According to him, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu that I know is not a racist and on several occasions had exhibited this.

“When he was at the saddle as the governor of Lagos State, he appointed personalities who were not Yoruba as members of his cabinet.

“He’s my friend and that’s why I can assure Nigerians that he has the intellectual capability to manage the resources of this nation judiciously for the betterment of the citizenry.

“We are set to work with other various groups working for the actualisation of Tinubu’s mandate at the poll. ”

Receiving Bakare and the TMG executives from the 18 local government areas of the state, on behalf of the party’s state chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, the state Vice Chairman, Hon. Ikoto Atili appreciated the group for the spade work being done in propagating the presidential candidate of the party among the people of the state.

Adetimehin assured Nigerians  that Tinubu had the wherewithal to change the narrative of the nation.

He charged TMG leadership to work with other members of the party in the state to ensure the party’s candidates come out victorious in the general elections.
