“I feel greatly blessed to have been part of the foundation of success for the LP.”

Meanwhile, Datti Ahmed has just been unveiled as Obi’s running mate.

This followed were media reports in the last 48 hours that the Labour Party had settled for the owner of Baze University and former member of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, (Senator) Datti Ahmed from Kaduna State as its substantive vice-presidential candidate.

This was after confirmation by Okupe that the alliance talks with Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso had collapsed about two weeks ago.

Kwankwaso had reportedly insisted on being the presidential candidate of the alliance instead of the running mate in spite of the growing sentiments fir a Southern presidency after the North ‘s eight-year rule by President Muhammadu Buhari on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
