The Labour Party (LP) candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections, Hon Jimoh Bode Babalola, has described the presidential candidate of the party, Mr Peter Obi, as God’s gift to Nigeria, saying Obi is the only candidate with clean records, among all the contesting candidates.

According to Babalola during a chat with journalists in his Osogbo office, on Friday, “Obi’s presidency would do the country a whole lot of good as the former Anambra governor has proved his competence and capability to lead.”
Babalola, who declared that Labour Party was the party to beat in the forthcoming election, also observed that Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, was the best candidate in the presidential race and was favoured to win the elections, based on his competence and popularity.
Babalola, a legal luminary who urged people of the country to support Peter Obi’s presidential ambition, said he was the one that could liberate the entire Country from the current suffering.
The politician promised his constituents quality representation if elected in the coming general elections.
The Osogbo-born politician, said he had what it would take to represent the people well, especially the requisite knowledge which a lawmaker or an intending one should have concerning lawmaking and the processes of governance.
According to Babalola who was the Chairman, Osogbo local government area of the state, “It is good to prepare oneself before embarking on anything. I am a lawyer called to the bar some years back. Senate is about lawmaking. You must know how to draft a bill and how to push it to become a law.
“A lawmaker or someone aspiring to be one should know what lawmaking is about. You should have sound knowledge about the processes of preparing bills that would add value to the lives of the people if it succeeds in the legislature and subsequently signed into law.
“So, good things are coming to us and I believe we will win with your support. I know I will offer you quality representation and ensure that your interests are well protected”, Babalola said.
The Osun Central Senatorial Candidate, however, paid glowing tribute to Mr Peter Obi, who he described as God’s gift to Nigeria. He said Obi’s presidency would do the country a whole lot of good as the former Anambra governor had proved his competence and capability to lead.
