At least 18 persons, including women, have been abducted and one person killed at Angwar Zalla Udawa in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The gunmen reportedly stormed the village on Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway around 12:30 am on Sunday.
A community leader in Udawa, Muhammed Umaru, who confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, gave the name of the deceased as Bala Jaja.
He said married women, adults, and young ladies were among those abducted.
The state government has yet to officially react to the incident.
The police also have not said anything as calls to the state Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Jalige Mohammed, were unanswered
