Singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been granted bail following his arraignment at the Ifo High Court in Ogun State.
He is, however, to be remanded at Correctional Service, Ilaro pending the fulfilment of the bail conditions.
He was on Monday morning arraigned by the Ogun State Police Command on a six-count bordering on assault.
Portable had, last Thursday, resisted arrest by police operative but was subsequently arrested on Friday and taken into custody.
“He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Ota, who filed a petition to CP Ogun.
“There are many pending cases of assaults on people and attacks, and he will be investigated because people have complained against him.
“So, there is no sentiment in law, let him appear in court, and allow the judge to listen to the charges against him. He has no constitutional immunity anyway,” Force PRO, Muyiwa Adejobi had tweeted.
