Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has explained why he pulled out of the All Progress Congress (APC) national chairmanship race.
Sen. Modu Sheriff explained that he did not want to oppose the zoning formula of the party as they had agreed to zone the position to the north-central.
Briefing journalists, on Sunday, in Abuja, Senator Sheriff said he had respect for the leader of the party President Muhammadu Buhari and so he would not continue in the race.
He thanked his campaign team members for their steadfastness.
He said except the party reviewed its zoning formula he was no longer contesting.
