The helmsman of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Osun State, Commandant Emmanuel Ocheja has put in place a robust security arrangement and crime prevention strategies to ensure crime free Christmas and New Year celebrations in the state.
This is contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the corps in Osun State, Mr Adigun Daniel, on behalf of the NSCDC boss in the state, Commandant Emmanuel Ocheja.
According to the release, officers and men are already emplaced on the major roads across the state, patrol teams and surveillance squads will cover places of worship, public places, recreation centres throughout the period of celebrations.
The release also enjoined members of the public to be security conscious and provide useful information to relevant security agencies.
The Commandant on behalf of the entire officers and men of NSCDC in the state rejoiced and felicitated all Christians as they celebrate this year’s Christmas.
He encouraged them to propagate peace, demonstrate love and tolerance with fellow citizens irrespective of religious affiliation.
