President Bola Tinubu has been filmed in his office celebrating the judgment of the Supreme Court.
The apex court on Thursday dismissed all appeals against Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 election, upholding the decision of the tribunal that sat at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
The court said it had no jurisdiction to receive fresh evidence [in respect of the Chicago State University certifucate] from the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February poll Atiku Abubakar and also dismissed his appeal.
It also ruled that the appeal brought by the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, lacked merit.
Shortly after the court’s verdict, a video from the State House, Abuja, showed Tinubu celebrating his victory at the nation’s top court with his aides.
“Ajuri, your job is secure,” Tinubu told his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.
Among those who were in the president’s office at the time was the minister of marine and blue economy, Gboyega Oyetola; and Tinubu’s aide-de-camp Colonel Nurudeen Yusuf. (QED.NG)
