Yahaya Bello denies withdrawing support for APC’s presidential candidate, says “my support for Tinubu is 100% undiluted”

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has refutted media reports doing the rounds that he had withdrawn support from the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, ahead of the 2023 general election.

Bello, who is the National Youth Coordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, said his unwavering support for Tinubu and his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, “is 100% undiluted”.

The governor said this via a post on his Facebook page on Sunday.

Reports, in the early hours of Sunday, had emerged, suggesting that Governor Bello had withdrawn his support for Tinubu over permutations in Kogi State ahead of November 2023 governorship election in the state.

Reacting, the governor stated: “Fake news alert! Kindly disregard every fake news being spread by mischievous media outlets.

“My unwavering support for Tinubu/Shettima 2023 is 100% undiluted. God bless APC! God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!”
