As Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos readies festive treats for patrons, it has illuminated the highbrow hotel grounds with grand outdoor lights.
The event, which is a tradition before Christmas every year, no doubt offers excitement to families.

This year’s light up ceremony last Thursday evening, the seventh edition, was no exception.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Eko Hotels & Suites, Christopher Chagoury, said Christmas isn’t just a season of lights.
“Christmas is also a season of lighting up each other.That’s the kind of glow we want to spread beyond these grounds,” Chagoury said gleefully.
Eko Hotels, situated in the business district area of Victoria Island, was a beehive of activity on the ‘D’ Day, having brought together dignitaries and guests for an evening filled with spectacle, magic and wonder.
A choir was even on ground to render sweet and danceable songs. In deed the choir thrilled both the young and not-too-old present with their nice dance moves.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who graced the event (leading to the countdown) the grand Light Up ceremony gave his nod as he greeted participants warmly.
In deed, the Eko Hotels Christmas ceremony was one of best Lagos lights of all time.
Chief Mrs. Nike Okundaye of Nike Art Gallery, Nigeria, who is part of the Eko Hotels family, said she was happy to have participated at 2025 Eko Hotels Christmas light up.
” I always love to be part of what Eko Hotels is doing anytime. In 2024, I was here for the Christmas light up. This year, I’m happy I made it because I was in the United States when I received the invitation from Eko Hotels.

(Dancing) the nation’s textile queen added “The music and dance from the choir is thrilling.”
Not a few said the spectacular event has become a hallmark of the festive season in Lagos with the appellation ” Centre of Excellence.”
Other dignitaries at the event include Chairman of Board of Directors, Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), Barrister Samuel Alabi, Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism; HRM Erelu Abiola Dosumu; Mrs. Kay Ovia.
Director of Sales and Marketing at Eko Hotels, Dr. Iyadunni Gbadebo, expressed the hotel’s pride in maintaining this tradition.
She said: “For seven years, we have had the privilege of bringing this magic to Lagos, and each year, the joy on people’s faces reminds us why this tradition matters. This is our gift to the city we call home.”
