Anne Ancia, WHO Representative in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Ituri province said six tonnes of supplies to fight Ebola were set to arrive in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday.
She said the supplies include personal protective equipment and other medical supplies.
She added that “we have sent 12 tonnes of supply. An additional six are arriving today. These include personal protective equipment for frontline health workers and samples.”

Ancia said efforts were underway to scale up surveillance, testing and contact tracing amid what she described as “great uncertainty as to the scale and extent of this outbreak.”
