Administration says no illegal migrants released into US for 15 months as new citizenship rules take effect

According to the White House, President Trump moved to tighten border controls immediately after taking office, including declaring a national emergency at the southern border.
“For 15 straight months, no illegal aliens have been released into the country,” the fact sheet stated.
The administration said the 3 million-plus deportations included “thousands who had been convicted of violent crimes.”
It also reported that taxpayer-funded benefits had been terminated for more than 1.4 million undocumented migrants who were allegedly receiving public assistance improperly.

The White House said it has intensified efforts to revoke citizenship obtained fraudulently. Legal action has been initiated against 88 people who allegedly obtained US citizenship despite being ineligible.
