We’re not aware of Emefiele’s sack – CBN

In a riposte on Wednesday, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said it was not aware of the reported sack of its Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele.

Responding to inquiries from The Nation, CBN’s spokesperson, Osita Nwanisobi, said he read report of Emefiele’s purported sack in some media like everyone else.

He said: “I also heard it the same way you heard it. Honestly, to me I’m not aware of that development.”
