In a separate encounter at Gidan Isa village, Isa Local Government Area, soldiers repelled an attempt by terrorists to cross the Marnona-Gudunmi-Isa road. They recovered 297 rounds of 7.62mm NATO rounds, 23 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, two AK-47 magazines, a motorcycle, and a mobile phone.
In Katsina State, troops foiled an attack in Damari village, Dandume Local Government Area, where three women had been abducted. The soldiers swiftly pursued and rescued the hostages, reuniting them with their families.
The Chief of Army Staff commended the troops for their bravery and urged them to maintain their momentum. He also thanked the public for providing crucial intelligence, which has been instrumental in the success of ongoing operations.
