Speaking to journalists, the deceased’s father, Alhaji Umaru Umaru, described the killing as heartbreaking and called for those responsible to be held accountable.

“I received a call early Saturday morning from security operatives informing me that my son had been killed.

“When I arrived, I confirmed that the victim was indeed my son,” he said.

He noted that the suspected shooter had previously been a neighbour of the family, making the incident even more painful.

Umaru said the family is devastated by the loss and urged authorities to ensure justice is served, stressing the importance of maintaining community peace and preventing similar tragedies in the future.
