Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Abiodun Ayoyinka has debunked the reports doing the rounds that he died on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

THE CONCLAVE had reported that Femi Ogunrombi, a stand-in character for Richard Abiodun Ayoyinka, was the one that actually passed.

The ace comedian, who perhaps reacted to the usage of his picture by many media platforms instead of Ogunrombi’s picture and also the fact that he is the original Papa Ajasco, stated that it was a stand-in character for him as Papa Ajasco in the popular 1996 Sitcom by Wale Adenuga Production (WAP), Femi Ogunrombi, that passed and not him.

Ogunrombi’s death was confirmed by a theatre practitioner, Husseini Shaibu, via his Twitter handle on Sunday.

Ogunrombi took over the character, Papa Ajasco, when the former character, Abiodun Ayoyinka pulled out of the show.

In a video clip obtained by THE CONCLAVE, Ayoyinka thanked his numerous fans for their concerns over the widely-circulated death rumour.
