Students of the University of Abuja will soon have a new lease of life as the Management of the University has started the process that will lead to the construction of a hostel with capacity to accommodate 25,000 hostel beds on the Main Campus.
The arrangement, which is under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP), commenced with the opening of the applications received in response to advertisement for Expression of Interest (EOI) by the University last year.
The opening of 20 applications received from prospective investors was witnessed by three Non-Governmental Organisations, namely: Corner Stone Liberty and Love Foundation (CLF), Advocacy for Transparency Network and Initiative in Civil Transparency.
The process was also witnessed by representative of Infrastructure Concessions Regulatory Commission (ICRC).
According to information obtained from the School, the University Tenders Board will commence the assessment exercise to determine the candidates who best fit the specification of the University in the next couple of days
