The anniversary celebration, scheduled for the 21st and 22nd of this month, will not only commemorate over six decades of ministry but also serve as a major fundraising event for an ambitious infrastructure project.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Lead of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Emmah Uhieneh Adah, described the anniversary as a moment of gratitude and renewed vision. he noted that despite numerous challenges over the years, the church has remained steadfast in its mission of evangelism and spiritual development.

Founded in the northern region as part of the broader UEC movement, the church has grown to become a strong spiritual and social presence in its community, contributing to both physical development and spiritual formation.

As part of its forward-looking agenda, the church has unveiled plans to construct a modern, one-stop Metropolitan Worship Centre. The proposed project will feature a 1,000-capacity state-of-the-art auditorium, four additional halls, conference rooms, children’s classrooms, a secretariat to host the Area Conference, and an apartment for the Congregational Minister, among other facilities.

To actualize the vision, the church is seeking to raise ₦500 million. According to the organisers, the project will be situated on a large expanse of land and is designed to meet the needs of a growing congregation while positioning the Assembly for future expansion.

Church leaders are calling on members, families, corporate bodies, friends, and well-wishers to contribute toward the fundraising goal. They emphasized that collective participation will be key to bringing the vision to fruition.

“Though it may seem like a mountainous task, with God all things are possible,” Adah stated, urging broad support for the initiative.

The anniversary and fundraising event is expected to draw members past and present, as well as invited guests, as the church reflects on its history and charts a new course for the future.

Organisers say the celebration represents not only a commemoration of the past 65 years but also a commitment to ensuring the Assembly continues to thrive for generations to come.
